I think we need to come up with some new ideas about advertising the con we need suggestions from the people. WE have the same people year after year coming to the con, we need fresh meat! I have tried every year to bring someone new and for the past three years i have but i dont think we are doing enough! At Communication Arts HS we all take courses over advertising and the Do's and Do Not's of advertising, and i honestly think we are killing this convention because of lack of advertising. Yes I relize that you all have jobs and its difficult to do everything but i think you need more postions, postions that are just for advertising. You need more officers to help run this con, and I think you need younger officers (I'm talking teenagers, but i mean only for some postions like teenagers as treasurer not good, teeanagers in advertising and secratary postions is good) i think we need new minds to help this con out. I have been going for three years and i think our con population could double by next year, because unfortuanetly there is not enough time this year for that to happen. I think advertisments should be in every HS and MS in San Antonio, i think it should be in every gaming shop ranging from Dragons Lair to Game Stop, and I think we need to remind people of the fact that this con is pretty much run by them that the events they run are the events that are going to be there. People need to know that this is a hands on gaming con not just everything is already there i just go and play and do whatever i feel like. We need more structure more stability. Please respond everyone even people who are not officers this con can use all the ideas it can get. Thank-you

ChimaeraCon has alot of ideas about the convention and advertising. Some of them Matthew has listed. Unfortunately, we also have limited resources.
The convention is always looking for volunteers(young or old). We are having a meeting at Dragon's Lair at 10am 2/21/09. Yes, i know it is short notice.
I am sure Matthew and others have alot more ideas. Come share at the meeting or here on the boards.
